Web and Publishing Assistant
Part-Time – 2.5 days per week
£23,000 - £25,000 pro rata

Our client, a national faith-based umbrella organisation is looking to recruit a Web and Publishing Assistant to take responsibility for administering the organisation's website working closely with the Web Manager.

Responding to the needs of this progressive and innovative organisation, key tasks of the role will involve updating the main website and micro sites, including proof reading, writing introductions and organising pages in an attractive style. The Web and Publishing Assistant also has responsibility for checking web pages for out-of-date content and broken links, producing an e-newsletter, updating a busy calendar of events and designing resources intended for download.

Alongside these main tasks, other tasks may include utilising social networks, blogs and press releases, creation of micro websites and the production of podcasts.

This creative and interactive role requires an experienced web designer with the ability to design clear and attractive web pages. With experience of using Adobe Indesign or similar packages, the successful candidate will have at least a basic understanding of HTML and the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure. Good communication skills with the aptitude to work well in a small team is also essential.

An empathy for the work of a faith based organisation is vital for being successful in this role.
