Capita are continually recruiting for Registered Mental Nurse's with good experience and understanding of nursing. Alternatively a RGN's with solid dementia experience.
You will have the opportunity to join a number of vibrant and energetic nursing homes in the Gwynedd area on the North Wales peninsula.
REGISTERED NURSE.
Working as a Registered Nurse, your duties will be as follows:-
To be aware of the Philosophy of Care and apply content to your everyday duties.
To maintain Current registration with the NMC and maintain and update your professional knowledge and practice in accordance with the requirements of the NMC.
To advise Matron or the Area Manager if there are deficits in your knowledge and seek to rectify such deficits.
To familiarise yourself with the requirements of the Care Standards Act 2000 and associated regulations and apply the content to your everyday duties.
To carry out all professional duties in accordance with NMC Code of Professional Conduct and to be accountable for your own practice.
To act at all times to promote the best interest of the client.
To formulate care plans for each individual Service User, working in conjunction with the Service User and their family, and review and evaluate care needs according to the stipulated time scales (see Policy Manual - Care Plans.)
To liaise with relatives, registration authorities and other health care professionals as may be required.
To give care to each Service User which will contribute to a homely, happy and comfortable environment in accordance with individual care plans.
To administer prescribed medication in accordance with NMC Standards for the administration of medicines, Royal Pharmaceutical Society guidelines and Springcare medication policies. (see Policy Manual - Administration of Medicines.)
To be aware of all Policies, Standards and Procedures and apply their content to your everyday duties.
To contact emergency assistance in the event of an untoward incident affecting Service User, staff member or part of the building.
To ensure that discipline and correct working practices are maintained in the absence of the Matron or her deputy.
To assist with the induction, training and supervision of junior staff members and to act as their mentor when requested to do so.
To report to the Matron any breaches of company policy or discipline or any other areas of concern.
To assist each Service User to maximise their independence within their own personal limitations, having due regard for their right to privacy and dignity.
To be aware of disciplinary procedures and what would result in disciplinary action being taken.
To attend staff training sessions / meetings when requested to do so by the Matron or her deputy or by Directors of the company.
To do all within your power to promote and enhance the reputation of the Home within the community.
To carry out any other duties that are deemed necessary by the Matron, her deputy or Directors of the Company.
